新潟生まれ。20代のほとんどをサンフランシスコで過ごしたのち帰国し、現在は東京を拠点に活動。ゲーム業界のコンセプトアーティストとしてキャリアをスタートし、現在はイラストレーターとしても制作を行う。街を歩きながら人々や風景を観察し、そこで感じた「空気」を作品の中に描き出す。
Born in Niigata, Japan, Kenta Shimbo spent most of his twenties in San Francisco before returning to Japan. He is now based in Tokyo, where he continues his creative work as an illustrator after starting his career as a concept artist in the game industry.While wandering through the city, he keeps an eye on the small, almost invisible things—people’s gestures, the rhythm of the streets, the atmosphere itself. He somehow turns these fleeting impressions into drawings.
